Where is the grace of allah in Islam?

A Muslim friend of mine wrote:

“The amazing thing for us, non-Christians, is that some of you (Christians) believe that no matter what level of sin or inhumane act you commit in this life, God will still reward you rather than punish you for your disobedience.”

I like that comment. It is a good observation of the Christian doctrine that states,

“Jesus Christ paid for sins once and for all.”

The problem my Muslims friend faced is that he focused more on the “Justice of God” than on the “Grace of God”.
What is Grace — “The
Grace of God”?

A man came home from work and noticed that his teen age son had gone to the neighborhood playground to play with his friends. A few hours later the man heard a knock on his front door. He opened the door and saw three police officers standing at his front door. “This does not look good,” he thought to himself, “These guys want to talk to me.” He invited the officers in his home and offered them chairs upon which to sit. The officers preferred to remain standing. Ironically, the officers asked the man to sit down. He did. The police officers had bad news. One of the police officers explained how a teenage boy, they believed to be the man’s son, has been killed — executioner style — on the neighborhood playground. They told the man to come with them to the County Hospital (Morgue) to see if he could identify the dead body as the body of his teenage boy.
Shocked, grieved, and confused, the father went with the officers to the local County morgue. There he identified the dead body as the body of his one and only son. Unable to control his emotions, sorrow, and grief, the man collapsed on the floor. The officers helped the broken and beseeched father up to a chair in the corner of the room, and later into the hall where he sat down grieving the untimely loss of his only child. An hour passed; then two hours; then three. The grieving father still continued to be torn with profound and unspeakable sorrows.
As the days and week went by, the grief lingered.
The father faced three choices:

(1) He could go out into the dark streets and back allies, and find the murderers of his son, and kills them. That would be “revenge”.

(2) He could be content, sits back, and let the laws of the land handle the case of his dead son. The authorities would search for the murderers of his son, bringing them to justice, finding them guilty, and execute them for capital crime. That will not “revenge”. It will be “justice”.

(3) On the other hand, the father could go out into the dark streets and back allies, find the murderers of his son, invites them to his home, adopts them as sons, sends them to schools, and give them all the material possessions that would have otherwise gone to his dead son.

That would be “Grace” — not justice, and certainly not revenge. It would not be compassion, or mercy; and not definitely forgiveness. It would be “Grace” — “The Grace of God”.
Grace is the undeserved favor one gives to another. It cannot be earned; and it cannot be bought with a price.
The Father is God. The Son is Jesus Christ. And the murderers are us, mankind. God is walking the back streets and dark allies of the earth searching for the murderers of His Son; and He is reaching unto us and inviting us unto adaption as sons so that we can go from murderers to becoming “sons of God.” That is “grace” — “The Grace of God”. Of the three monotheistic religions (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam) Christianity is the only one that presents to the world a “Searching God” — searching to adapt as sons for those who have wronged Him and are hiding from Him.

John 1:11: “He came to His own, but His own received Him not” — In fact they killed His Son. Next very verse reads, “Yet still for as many as receives Him (His Son), He gives to them the powers to become the sons of God, even those who believe on His name.” That is “grace” — “The Grace of God”.

Ephesians 2:8-9 tells us: “For it is by grace that you have been saved, through faith — and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — it is not by works that you have been saved, so that no one can boast.”

Salvation (going to Heaven) is a free gift from God given to man through Jesus Christ. Going to Heaven has absolutely nothing to do with doing good things or bad things. Doing good deeds simply serves two purposes (1) it allows for others to know you are a child of God, and (2) it allows for you not to bring dishonor to the Name of God. All those who accept Jesus’ Death on the Cross as a payment for their sins are saved forever unto God; for God is not unjust as to demand two payments for one debt (sin).

At this point I can hear the question: Are you saying that because Christ paid for your sins, you are free to commit sins without any punishment?

The Christian is told to obey the laws of man as long as those laws do not come in conflict with the Word of God. To obey the laws of man is to be subjected to the consequences (penalty, punishments) of the laws of man. The Christian will be punished for breaking the laws of man, but as for spending eternal life with God, the Christian is already saved by the Blood of Jesus Christ.

At the heart of Judaism is “A Chosen People” — God saves man because he is born a Jew. At the heart of Islam is “Justice” — God saves man because man’s good deeds outweigh his bad deeds in the “Scale for Balance”. At the heart of Christianity is “Grace” — God saves man because man is totally unable to save himself. That is “Grace” — “The Grace of God”.

If you remove “A Chosen People” from the heart of Judaism, Judaism falls apart. If you remove “Justice” from the heart of Islam, Islam falls apart. If you remove “Grace” from the heart of Christianity, Christianity falls apart.

This is the Christian Message to the world: God is All-loving; and as we know, love cannot accept defeat in any circumstances. If it does, it is no longer love; for it has become justice. Choose for yourself this day to be saved unto God by “Grace” — “The Grace of God” through Jesus Christ, rather than to be saved unto God by “Pride” which says, “I am born a Jew therefore; God will save me,” or to be save unto God by “Justice” which says, “I will work hard in order that I might tilt (lean) the “Scale for Balance” in my favor.
Roman 5:8 tells us, “God directed his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners (cussing, and stealing, and lying, and killing), Christ died for us.” That is “grace” — “The Grace of God”.
In the above story the Father is God. The Son is Jesus Christ. And the murderers are us, mankind. God is walking the back streets and dark allies of the earth searching and reaching out to us, the murderers of His Son; so as to bring us unto adaption as “sons of God.” That is “Grace” — “The Grace of God”.

Romans 5 (New King James Version)

Romans 5

Faith Triumphs in Trouble

1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Christ in Our Place

6 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. 10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 11 And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

Death in Adam, Life in Christ

12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned— 13 (For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. 14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come. 15 But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many. 16 And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification. 17 For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)
18 Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. 19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.
20 Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, 21 so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

God Jesus said,

“I am the way and the truth and the life.

Contradictions in Islam and Qur’an

Alla

“O Jesus son of Mary!” said the disciples, or so claims the Qur’an in surah 5:112. On the surface this quote from one of Jesus’ (Isa’s) disciples may seem unextraordinary, but there is a subtle error here that few ever notice. However, once it is noticed, few will ever forget.

Qur’an 5:112

Lets take a look at this verse in full using several widely accepted translations.

Yusuf Ali: Behold! the disciples, said: “O Jesus the son of Mary! can thy Lord send down to us a table set (with viands) from heaven?” Said Jesus: “Fear Allah, if ye have faith.”

Pickthal: When the disciples said: O Jesus, son of Mary! Is thy Lord able to send down for us a table spread with food from heaven? He said: Observe your duty to Allah, if ye are true believers.

Shakir: When the disciples said: O Isa son of Marium! will your Lord consent to send down to us food from heaven? He said: Be careful of (your duty to) Allah if you are believers.

Transliteration: Ith qala alhawariyyoona ya AAeesa ibna maryama hal yastateeAAu rabbuka an yunazzila AAalayna ma-idatan mina alssama-i qala ittaqoo Allaha in kuntum mu/mineena

Qur’an Text/Transliteration 5:112

Doesn’t this quote from the disciples strike you as a little odd?

Analysis

Speaking Styles

We’ll begin by examining the use of the word “O” at the beginning of the supposed quote of Jesus’ disciples. There are quotes from others which begin in a similar fashion. Lets take a look at a few.

Allah

Behold! Allah said: “O jesus! I will take thee and raise thee to Myself and clear thee (of the falsehoods) of those who blaspheme; I will make those who follow thee superior to those who reject faith, to the Day of Resurrection: Then shall ye all return unto me, and I will judge between you of the matters wherein ye dispute.

Qur’an 3:55

It would seem that Allah has the same poetic speaking style as the disciples, but considering Allah is almighty and eternal, we can rightly conclude that it was the disciples who spoke like Allah and not the other way around.

Jesus

Jesus himself spoke a lot like Allah.

Said jesus the son of Mary: “O Allah our Lord!

Qur’an 5:114

In the following quote, there is the added bonus of a prophesy concerning Muhammad.

And remember, jesus, the son of Mary, said: “O Children of Israel! I am the apostle of Allah (sent) to you, confirming the Law (which came) before me, and giving Glad Tidings of an Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad.” But when he came to them with Clear Signs, they said, “this is evident sorcery!

Qur’an 61:6

Mary’s neighbors

Mary’s neighbors also spoke in the same poetic style of Allah.

At length she brought the (babe) to her people, carrying him (in her arms). They said: “O Mary! truly an amazing thing hast thou brought!

Qur’an 19:27

O sister of Aaron! Thy father was not a man of evil, nor thy mother a woman unchaste!”

Qur’an 19:28

Abraham

Abraham spoke just like Allah also.

Behold, he said to his father: “O my father! why worship that which heareth not and seeth not, and can profit thee nothing?

Qur’an 19:42

O my father! to me hath come knowledge which hath not reached thee: so follow me: I will guide thee to a way that is even and straight.

Qur’an 19:43

O my father! serve not Satan: for Satan is a rebel against (Allah) Most Gracious.

Qur’an 19:44

O my father! I fear lest a Penalty afflict thee from (Allah) Most Gracious, so that thou become to Satan a friend.”

Qur’an 19:45

Moses

And Moses too.

Remember Moses said to his people: “O my people! Call in remembrance the favour of Allah unto you, when He produced prophets among you, made you kings, and gave you what He had not given to any other among the peoples.

Qur’an 5:20

O my people! Enter the holy land which Allah hath assigned unto you, and turn not back ignominiously, for then will ye be overthrown, to your own ruin.”

Qur’an 5:21

Lot and the people of Sodom

Lot, and even the homosexual inhabitants of Sodom whom Lot detested, spoke like Allah.

O my Lord! deliver me and my family from such things as they do!”

Qur’an 26:169

They said: “If thou desist not, O Lut! thou wilt assuredly be cast out!”

Qur’an 26:167

Commentary

It is unlikely that such a varied group of individuals, men and women who were separated by thousands of years, would speak in the same manner as one another. Unlike the Gospels which are universally accepted as being written by humans, the Qur’an is supposed to be the verbatim words of Allah spoken through a messenger, so the quotes should be exact quotes unhindered by the fickle nature of the human memory. Yet like a substandard Shakespearean rip-off, it would seem that almost any time someone is quoted in the Qur’an, they begin with the poetic “O”. While the Qur’an is supposed to be the words of Allah, there are many verses which raise doubts.

Arabic: æóÞóÇáóÊö ÇáúíóåõæÏõ ÚõÒóíúÑñ ÇÈúäõ Çááóøåö æóÞóÇáóÊö ÇáäóøÕóÇÑóì ÇáúãóÓöíÍõ ÇÈúäõ Çááóøåö Ðóٰáößó Þóæúáõåõã ÈöÃóÝúæóÇåöåöãú íõÖóÇåöÆõæäó Þóæúáó ÇáóøÐöíäó ßóÝóÑõæÇ ãöä ÞóÈúáõ ÞóÇÊóáóåõãõ Çááóøåõ Ãóäóøìٰ íõÄúÝóßõæäó

Transliteration: Waqalati alyahoodu AAuzayrun ibnu Allahi waqalati alnnasara almaseehu ibnu Allahi thalika qawluhum bi-afwahihim yudahi-oona qawla allatheena kafaroo min qablu qatalahumu Allahu anna yu/fakoona

Shakir: And the Jews say: Uzair is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah destroy them; how they are turned away!

Qur’an Text/Transliteration 9:30

Muslims often use the “majestic plural” excuse and the iltifat poetic style of switching between third person and first, supposedly to keep the listeners attention. But what makes verse 9:30 different to others which may be excused is the subjunctive mood being employed here; the fact that the speaker is wishing for Allah to do something. For instance, Allah never says “May I find disfavor with you”. That would not make any linguistic sense at all. Allah never wishes for himself to do something. If you read the context of the whole surah, this is a very angry and bitter surah. It would seem the author was personally very angry. Maybe he was so angry, bitter and worked up that he lapsed for a moment and forgot who was supposed to be speaking? We find the same error in the following verse:

And when you see them, their persons will please you, and If they speak, you will listen to their speech; (they are) as if they were big pieces of wood clad with garments; they think every cry to be against them. They are the enemy, therefore beware of them; may Allah destroy them, whence are they turned back?

Qur’an 63:4

So could the explanation for this consistent speaking style found throughout the Qur’an then be because it’s this same person inventing the quotes? If its not Allah’s words, then what did he stand to gain by fabricating quotes by figures revered by Jews and Christians?

Calling Jesus by His Name

In the Christian Gospels (Injil) the disciples do not call Jesus by his name. His name is only mentioned when the gospel author quotes Jesus or gives us commentary on what Jesus was believed to have done. The disciples themselves called him “lord”, “teacher”, “Christ”, etc., and they did so in order to show respect. In the Gospels, just as in the Qur’an, Jesus is the Messiah, God’s chosen one, so to call him by his name would have been disrespectful, yet (judging by Christian standards) in the Qur’an we see a consistent effort in a theological game of lowering Jesus’ status while elevating the status of other biblical prophets by making them “sinless”.

Adding the Qualifier “Son of Mary”

As with the poetic “O”, there are quotes from others which use the qualifier “son of Mary” whenever addressing Jesus. Lets take a look at a few of them.

Allah

Then will Allah say: “O jesus the son of Mary! Recount My favour to thee and to thy mother.

Qur’an 5:110

And behold! Allah will say: “O jesus the son of Mary!

Qur’an 5:116

Angels

Behold! the angels said: “O Mary! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ jesus, the son of Mary, held in honour in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah.

Qur’an 3:45

His name will be the “son of Mary”? Note how the Angels also speak in the same style as Allah.

Jews

In the following verse, even the Jews seem to think it was important to mention that Jesus was the son of Mary. Why is this?

That they said (in boast), “We killed Christ jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah.

Qur’an 4:157

Gospels

Interestingly, according to the Gospels, “Son of Mary” is what the doubters among the Nazarenes called Jesus, when they were incredulous of his miraculous powers.

Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.

Mark 6:3 (King James Version)

And yet the Qur’an quotes Jesus’ disciples as calling him the very same thing.

Commentary

To go out of one’s way to add the qualifier “son of Mary” or even “son of God” after they had addressed Jesus as Teacher, Master, Lord or even by his name is unnatural speech and makes no sense unless it was used as a form of mockery or disbelief (as in the Gospels).

They said: “O Moses! In this land are a people of exceeding strength: Never shall we enter it until they leave it: if (once) they leave, then shall we enter.”

Qur’an 5:22

In the above verse, Moses is simply addressed by the Israelites (who suspiciously also spoke in that same poetic manner of Allah) as “Moses”. There is no additional qualifier of “Moses, son of…”

So that leaves us with the question; why is “son of Mary” explicitly added when someone addresses Jesus? Why would the disciples feel the necessity to mention that he is the son of Mary when they were talking directly to him? Are they telling him something he did not already know?

It is because the author of the Qur’an was trying to make a theological point that Jesus was not the son of God, but merely the son of an ordinary women. But why would the disciples bother to make that point?

According to Muslims, Jesus never said he was the son of God, so therefore his disciples would never need to make such a point. To make such a point would have been a ridiculous, redundant, and derogatory thing to do.

The fact that he was the son of a women and only a prophet would have already been clearly understood. Adding these qualifiers onto the disciples speech when they were speaking directly to him surely mean that this qualifier is an addition to what was actually said.

Conclusion

It was simply not necessary for the disciples or the angels to clarify that Jesus was the son of Mary, but it would be necessary if someone was fabricating sayings of the disciple and others to make them confirm the points they wanted to make. Jesus, his disciples, Mary’s neighbors, Angels, Abraham, Moses, Jews, Lot, the people of Sodom, and the Israelites also spoke just like Allah, and “Allah” revealed all this poorly thought-out speech by speaking through one person; namely, Muhammad.

At this point, it should be apparent to all beyond a doubt that Muhammad was putting words in other people’s mouths and fabricating quotes so that he could artificially create reinforcement and confirmation of the points he was trying to make, which is that Jesus was not the Son of God and Muhammad is Allah’s prophesied final Messenger. It was by Muhammad’s good fortune that he was such a great military leader, for as a playwright he would have been sorely lacking.

Yes. Because God is ONE. He is acting in unity. If you will pray Jesus, it means you are TALKING/COMMUNICATING with God. If you will address to the Holy Spirit/Ruh Al Qudus, it means God will listen to you. If you will call God “my Father” during salat then, God will LISTEN to you and will always answer your prayers especially if you will ask something in the Name of His Son Jesus.

You say that without the source of light, light is there?? No. That’s an absurdity.

Genesis 1:1-10 (King James Version)
Genesis 1
1In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

Here we see that God made earth. No sun, moon yet. OK when God says its light no problem, light is there. Have to agree on that. What to do. After all God is God. Have to agree with that.

4And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Ok here we see the night and day. Where is the sun?? God saw the light good and made night and day. Night and day are not there without the sun. Today’s science confirms without sun there is no sunlight that sustains life on earth. Sun and moon was created on the 4th day. . And don’t forget that its the rotation of the earth and the whole system that created day and night.

6And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
7And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
8And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
9And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
10And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

16And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
17And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
18And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
19And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

I can only say that I am HAPPY that you are STUDYING the words of God!!! You made me really happy that you are reading what He told you.

Let’s read again this Sura in the Bible:

Genesis 1:1-10
1In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

Ibrahim, here light could be as the result of what I told you here:

“Ibrahim, physicists distinguish light itself from objects that create light (like the sun). Verse 3 may refer to the creation of the laws that govern light itself to the light that filled the universe after the big bang (if this theory is a little bit true) or to another source of light in the universe, and to the countless millions of stars that fill the galaxies throughout the universe. About plants: look in the verse 4 it reads that LIGHT was during the first day. During the second day He created plants.”
I think this LIGHT in the beginning is the light caused by explosion after the big bang (according to the astrophysics). I will give you some information here:
The Big Bang was the event which led to the formation of the universe, according to the prevailing cosmological theory of the universe’s early development (known as the Big Bang theory or Big Bang model). According to the Big Bang model, the universe, originally in an extremely hot and dense state that expanded rapidly, has since cooled by expanding to the present diluted state, and continues to expand today. The theory is the most comprehensive and accurate explanation supported by scientific evidence and observations. The Universe was filled homogeneously and isotropically with an incredibly high energy density, huge temperatures and pressures, and was very rapidly expanding and cooling. Approximately 10−37 seconds into the expansion, a phase transition caused a cosmic inflation, during which the Universe grew exponentially. After inflation stopped, the Universe consisted of a quark–gluon plasma, as well as all other elementary particles. Temperatures were so high that the random motions of particles were at relativistic speeds, and particle–antiparticle pairs of all kinds were being continuously created and destroyed in collisions. The Universe continued to grow in size and fall in temperature, hence the typical energy of each particle was decreasing.

Then you said:
“We all know that the source of light and life on this planet earth is the Sun in our solar system. Without Sun there is no sunlight. Without sunlight no life will exist on this earth.”

Brother the source of light on our planet is NOT only sun or moon. But it could be also lightning!!!! Do you know that there is also such astronomy theory (Chemical evolution theory) which describes chemical changes on the primitive Earth that gave rise to the first forms of life. That life on the earth (or better to say composition of organic substances where possible due to formation of organic molecules). It was caused by LIGHTENING (electric energy) in water!? I will give you some reference information on that too:
The chemical and physical conditions of the primitive Earth are invoked to explain the origin of life, which was preceded by chemical evolution of organic chemicals. Astronomers believe that 20-30 billion years ago, all matter was concentrated in a single mass, and that it blew apart with a “big bang.” In time, a disk-shaped cloud of dust condensed and formed the Sun, and the peripheral matter formed its planets. Heat produced by compaction, radiation, and impacting meteorites melted Earth. Then, as the planet cooled, Earth’s layers formed. The first atmosphere was made up of hot hydrogen gas, too light to be held by Earth’s gravity. Water vapor, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and methane replaced the hydrogen atmosphere. As Earth cooled, water vapor condensed and torrential rains filled up its basins, thereby forming the seas. Also present were lightning, volcanic activity, and ultraviolet radiation. It was in this setting that life began. According to one theory, chemical evolution occurred in four stages. In the first stage of chemical evolution, molecules in the primitive environment formed simple organic substances, such as amino acids. This concept was first proposed in 1936 in a book entitled, “The Origin of Life on Earth,” written by the Russian scientist, Aleksandr Ivanovich Oparin. He considered hydrogen, ammonia, water vapor, and methane to be components in the early atmosphere. Oxygen was lacking in this chemically-reducing environment. He stated that ultraviolet radiation from the Sun provided the energy for the transformation of these substances into organic molecules. Scientists today state that such spontaneous synthesis occurred only in the primitive environment. Abiogenesis became impossible when photosynthetic cells added oxygen to the atmosphere. The oxygen in the atmosphere gave rise to the ozone layer which then shielded Earth from ultraviolet radiation. Newer versions of this hypothesis contend that the primitive atmosphere also contained carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, nitrogen, hydrogen sulfide, and hydrogen. Present-day volcanoes emit these substances.

So, the source of light could be also lightening. Lightning requires the electrical breakdown of gas. In theory, any planet with the right kind of atmosphere can have lightning on it.

“You say that without the source of light, light is there?? No. That’s an absurdity.”- as we see it is not an absurdity. And there are indeed deep underwater plants and sea creatures (tubeworm, big clams, bright red plumes from the top of its chitinous white tube) where the sunlight does not reach, but they get their energy from underwater volcanic vents.

That means you have no rational and real answer against your belief and scripture. Correct? Of course if god wants to see a dancing day and a singing night, he can do it, he just have to Will it.

Kun fayakoon.

Rationality as we understand today will not accept your answer here. Have to bind and cloak it in faith to believe it even if you do not understand it correct?? Question is did Allah SWT created earth, heavens and all other things in existence the way bible OT/NT son god has made the authors write it??? As I told you I am not calling you or any other here to Islam, I will not give you the logic and the miracle of creation via Quraán.

I am solely discussing this issue with you because you called us here to believe in you and Christianity. You seem to get stuck and get lost somewhere when it comes to explanation and understanding through human logic and established science.
I could have understood that if you attributed it as a miracle. But when I scan the top most layer of Christian literature which you call the bible I find that there are, we would all agree many corruptions in the New Testament and deliberate alterations in the Old Testament to fit in your intended ideologies. There are many points where the various texts contradict themselves or send strange messages patched on in later years.

Yet if we read the texts carefully bearing in mind that Bible say it is from unknown authors and it has folklore, fairy tales, letters, diaries etc. we can identify those portions of the text that illuminate Jesus’ (pbuh) actual ministry on earth. It is clearly a ministry that preaches submission to the One God Allah SWT and not to himself Jesus (pbuh).

I sincerely wish RationalMan and ratzi both judge this thread in the context of what is said here. They both say, they are here to see rational explanations and counter arguments within accepted norms. In a nutshell “an intelligent debate” that will gain some knowledge and insight into this great religions who has billions of followers behind them.

But if we do not know something, God can explain it to us through the Holy Spirit or even when we will meet God after our death we could ask Him whatever we want to know.

You said: “Rationality as we understand today will not accept your answer here. Have to bind and cloak it in faith to believe it even if you do not understand it correct??” Ibrahim, there could be also another explanation of the Holy Scripture. Let’s consider it too:

1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.- The heavens (universe, solar system, sun, earth, etc.) were already created before the first “day”.

Genesis 1:2 says, “darkness was over the surface of the deep.” Next, God removed much of the cloud cover, when He stated, “Let there be light” (Genesis 1:3) This was the light of the Sun (already created) which now “separated light from darkness” (Genesis 1:4). It is very clear from the text that the sun had already been created and the earth was rotating on its axis, since there was light (day) and darkness (night) (Genesis 1:5).
Genesis 1:6-10 describe the initiation of a stable water cycle (9) and formation of continents (10) through tectonic activity.

1:14 Then God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years;
1:15 and let them be for lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth “;and it was so.
1:16 And God made the two great lights, the greater light to govern the day, and the lesser light to govern the night; He made the stars also.
1:17 And God placed them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth,
1:18 and to govern the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness; and God saw that it was good.
1:19 And there was evening and there was morning, a fourth day.

– Next the translucent cloud layer was removed so that the sun, moon and stars shown through. Notice the unusual construction in Genesis 1:14 which states, “Then God said, ‘Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years; at this point God removed the translucent cloud cover from the planet to allow the stars, moon, and Sun to be seen from the surface of the earth (the frame of reference of all Genesis 1). The text then reiterates what God had already done in Genesis 1:1 regarding the creation of the sun, moon, and stars. But why? To explain us the time frame of events over days, seasons, and years – obviously more than 24 hours long. What is the day in the Holy Scripture? A literal translation of the Hebrew word, ‘yom’, which can mean a twelve hour period of time, a twenty-four hour period of time, or a long, indefinite period of time.

1:26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 1:27 And God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

– God is speaking of Himself in a “plural.” Because He is the Father, the Son and the Ruh Al Qudus/the Holy Spirit.

(God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil; and now, lest he stretch out his hand, and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever,” (Gen. 3:22). “Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech,” (Gen. 11:7). “Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!” (Isaiah 6:8).Other Bible verses of Taurat showing us Trinity or Tri-unity of God).

Ibrahim you asked:

“Question is did Allah SWT created earth, heavens and all other things in existence the way bible OT/NT son god has made the authors write it??? As I told you I am not calling you or any other here to Islam, I will not give you the logic and the miracle of creation via Quraán.”

– Brother, let me ask you some question regarding creation of the universe according to Quran and Hadith. Because you asked the same question. How can it be explained rationally?

How many planets in the solar system according to the Quran?

This verse claims there are seven planets. However, according to astronomers, there are eight ordinary planets and five dwarf planets, which leaves the grand total at thirteen.
Allah is He Who created seven Firmaments and of the earth a similar number. Through the midst of them (all) descends His Command: that ye may know that Allah has power over all things, and that Allah comprehends, all things in (His) Knowledge.

Qur’an 65:12

Tafsir Ibn Abbas explains they are all flat planets

The paternal cousin of Muhammad and conspicuous expert on tafsir (interpretation of the Qur’an) writes that Allah means that all 7 are flat planets.
Allah is He who created 7 heavens one above the other like a dome, and of the Earths, the like thereof, 7 planets but THEY ARE FLAT

Tafsir Ibn-Abass

Earth is flat

N J Dawood The earth, how it was made FLAT?

The Moon is further away than the stars

The moon is located in the middle of the universe.
See ye not how Allah has created the seven heavens one above another,
‘And made the moon a light in their midst, and made the sun as a (Glorious) Lamp

Qur’an 71:15-16

There are no folklore, fairy tales in the HOLY Bible. The Scripture is HOLY. But the problem is NOT with Scripture but with our understanding of it! Not all of us is ABLE to understand what God made. That’s why we need His help in revelations from Him..NOTE: from Him directly and not from any jinns!

Sister, salvation is very simple: through FAITH in God Jesus, REPENTANCE and CONFESSION of your sins.
You should believe in God Jesus and LIVE according to His words, WALKING in FAITH what means implementing all His words and commandments. This life means REPENTANCE of your sins when you TURN from sins to GOD, when you ABANDON your sins and make a STEP of FAITH toward God. God will purify you like gold and after repentance He promised to forget and forgive your sins. You will be FREE of your sins and the Holy Spirit will give you a TESTIMONY in your heart that you are forgiven and adopted by God to be His Inheritance. If you will BE SURE in this FORGIVENESS you are FORGIVEN by God and this assurance will be granted to you by God Himself. God does not want to make this salvation complicated. It is VERY simple. But it is NOT a miracle. We should NOT wait when we will become holy by any miracle but we SHOULD become HOLY by TURNING from sins to God Jesus. This is the TRUE repentance evident in your changed and holy life. If you will not abandon your sin, you are sinner. NOT a CHRISTIAN! If you didn’t turn from your sins, you are sinner. You are not Christian but a criminal against God and people. That’s why to BE SAVED: BELIEVE, REPENT, CONFESS your sins, ABANDON them and LIVE a holy life. The way of sin is not for you! But the Kingdom of your Father is FOR YOU!

Bahira

Here I am, Lord. Send me.

Saved from Poison, Insanity

December 9, 2010

Pastor Rohan stayed committed to helping Chanu find deliverance through Christ.
Turanya Kahn is one of the women who interceded for Charu.

The villagers were contemplating poisoning Charu when Rohan Banerjee, a Gospel for Asia-supported pastor, stopped them.

Charu had become a danger and nuisance to his village after his mental sanity dissolved. Once a hard-working farmer, Charu had attracted the jealousy of some of his neighbors because of the wealth he accrued through his toils harvesting rice paddy. They retaliated by performing black magic on him, and he went crazy. His neighbors were no longer jealous—they were terrified.

Charu’s altered mental state made him violent. He would hold a knife and attempt to stab anyone who came near him. Once, he almost attacked his own wife, but she narrowly escaped. His family tied him to a post, but instead of subduing him, it made him more aggressive. So the villagers—including his own family—conspired to poison him.

As they were holding a meeting to decide what they should do with Charu, Pastor Rohan and his team of fellow missionaries came to the village. Rohan told them not to harm Charu and assured them Jesus could heal him. So the villagers let Rohan take Charu away to pray for his deliverance. Although Charu attempted to harm Rohan multiple times, God protected the pastor.

Rohan eventually brought Charu to a prayer center led by Gospel for Asia-supported missionary Turanya Kahn. She and her team interceded for Charu for 15 days, after which he returned to his normal self. Due to his apparent recovery, they sent him home.

But a few months later, Charu started acting mentally unstable again. The missionaries took him to another prayer center, where missionary Kanjri Choudhuri prayed faithfully for him. By the end of one month, God had completely healed him.

God answered the prayers of the missionaries by restoring Charu to full mental sanity. Even more miraculous than this deliverance was Charu’s resulting decision: He and ten of his family members chose to follow Jesus. Pastor Rohan asks for prayer that Charu and his family will continue to live for Jesus.

Leading Others to Liberty

Hirla Harish could not believe his eyes when he saw the tiny woman tied to the center post of her mud-walled home. His heart was immediately filled with compassion for this lady being restrained by the ropes.

“Why is she tied up?” he wondered. “Only animals should be tied up like that!” Punita Oraon’s family, weary from her erratic, dangerous behavior, had secured her to the post for her own protection. As a last resort, they called Hirla, a Gospel for Asia missionary, to come and pray for her.

“Don’t come near me! Don’t do anything to harm me!” she screamed as he approached. Undaunted, Hirla knelt beside Punita and prayed silently.

“Lord, if it is Your will, You can do this and heal her,” he requested. “It is not by my might, it is not by my power, but by Your strength, by Your spirit that You can do this.”

Hirla stood up and gently dabbed a small dot of coconut oil on Punita’s forehead. As he was closing his eyes to pray, the woman, in a brief moment of lucidity, spoke to him.

“If you are a good doctor, give me medicine so that I may get rid of all these problems,” she pleaded.

“I am only a spiritual doctor, but I will give you good medicine so that your problems will go away and not come back,” Hirla assured her.

Hirla placed one hand on Punita’s head and raised the other hand toward heaven and began praying in a loud voice.

“Lord, this is not impossible for You. You did miracles 2,000 years ago, and You can still do them today. I have faith in You. It is impossible through my hands, but it is possible through Your hands,” he prayed, tears streaming down his face.

Hirla opened his eyes and looked down at the woman. He could tell right away that his prayer had been answered. The demons that had been tormenting Punita were gone.

She was free.

Quest for Redemption

This was not the first time—or even the second—that Hirla had witnessed God releasing someone from demonic powers. During his four years of ministry in Rajasthan, India, he has seen the Lord free dozens of people through prayer, and today he is considered something of an expert on the subject. The first time he witnessed such a transformation was also the first time he encountered the love and power of Christ-and it forever changed his life.

It began when Hirla’s wife, Gitanjali, suffered a prolonged series of painful physical conditions. Her constant suffering drove the young couple to consult many witch doctors. They gave her amulets to wear, sacrificed animals, cast spells and instructed her to chant mantras, sacred words and phrases. All the while, Gitanjali’s physical condition deteriorated.

“One by one, the sicknesses increased in her body. Then, all of a sudden, she began having mental problems and started screaming,” Hirla recalls.

Gitanjali’s behavior was frightening.

“I didn’t know what I was doing,” she remembers. “All I remember is taking my children around to different villages and to different houses, wandering here and there, even out into other people’s fields. I would even beat my children.

“I didn’t have a desire to eat. I was crying and howling and shouting and running all over the place without telling anybody where I was going. I had no peace.”

Gitanjali knew that somehow, an evil spirit had taken control of her. But she could not verbalize what she was feeling.

“There were no words to explain it. I was in a real panic,” she recalls. “I just had a desire to be redeemed from this satanic power.”

At this point, treatments prescribed by the witch doctors became even more bizarre. Hirla allowed one healer to severely beat Gitanjali with a 20-pound metal pipe. Another pressed a searing-hot iron rod into her abdomen.

The people in Hirla and Gitanjali’s village tried to help. Their solution was to bring together all the villagers and witch doctors for an intense night of prayer and sacrifice. They each prayed all night to the various gods they worshipped. As daylight came, Gitanjali was still not healed, and Hirla’s agitation and frustration boiled over. He had spent all his money and traveled great distances to find a cure for his wife, only to see her get worse.

“I was just sad looking at her,” Hirla says. “I decided to commit suicide and finish my life rather than watch her die.”

So Hirla hanged himself inside his own home.

Thankfully, his sister was walking by the house and saw him. She rushed in, cut the rope and revived him. But neither his sister nor his fellow villagers were sympathetic to his plight. Instead they scolded him for trying to leave his children fatherless.

‘I Went to Jesus’

Shortly after the suicide attempt, one of Hirla’s distant relatives—a Christian woman—shared the Gospel with him and encouraged him to seek help from a pastor.

Having tried everything else, Hirla thought it would not hurt to try a Christian prayer. He contacted the pastor of the closest church—which was 21 miles away. Hirla made the journey with Gitanjali, two of his children and his father—and a bottle of coconut oil the pastor asked them to bring.

The pastor followed the biblical instruction in James 5:14 to pray for the sick, anointing them with oil. He dabbed the coconut oil on Gitanjali’s head and body. Then he prayed, asking her family to join him. Even though Gitanjali was weak, she suddenly began shrieking. Then a strange sensation came over her.

“It felt like I was flying on air. Something had left from my body, and I was okay again,” she explains.

When the prayer was over, Gitanjali looked up at the people standing around her. “Why am I here?” she asked. “Where is our village? Why did you bring me here?” Gitanjali slowly came to her senses. She and Hirla realized that she had been demon-possessed, and now the living God had healed her.

“I spent thousands of rupees on witch doctors. But here’s the great thing: You can go to Jesus without any expense,” Hirla says. “I went to Jesus with only five rupees worth of coconut oil and my faith.”

For the Glory of God

Gitanjali’s deliverance led to a whole new way of life for the family. They settled into a routine that focused on worshipping and serving God.

“I cannot explain the happiness in my heart. It was a great and marvelous thing for me,” Hirla says. “We put our faith in God, and from that day onward we trusted in Him.”

During this time of intense spiritual growth, both Hirla and Gitanjali sensed that God was calling them into service for Him. Three years after Gitanjali was healed, Hirla enrolled in a Gospel for Asia Bible college.

Gitanjali understood Hirla’s desire to serve the Lord, but she worried about the more practical matters.

“Who will take care of our field? Who will take care of our home? You cannot leave me alone with our children!” she implored.

Hirla reminded her that God had always taken care of them, and He would certainly do it again.

“God healed you. He is our caretaker,” he said. “In my absence, Jesus will take care of you. I am going for God’s glory, and when I come back, we will do something for the glory of God.”

Just before he was to leave for Bible college, God showed Himself able to provide for their needs. Hirla did not have the 300 rupees for his bus ticket. The entire family fasted and prayed about the matter.

When they had finished praying, Hirla walked a short distance away from home to take a bath in the lake near his home. On his way back, his daughter, Latangi, ran up full of excitement. She was walking along the same path and had found a gold ring. They were able to sell the ring for exactly 300 rupees.

The First Witness

About three years later, just before he graduated from Bible college, Hirla fasted and prayed, asking God where he should serve. The answer came: God wanted him to return to his own village and share the Gospel.

Hirla knew that many of his people suffered from the same problems that he himself had over the years.

The majority of the people in his village, including Hirla and Gitanjali, are from the Bhil tribe. This group of Dalit (“Untouchable”) people relies on agriculture to make a living. If they are fortunate, villagers have a home with mud walls and floors and a tile roof, but no electricity or running water. Locally brewed wine is a staple in their homes and is the cornerstone of their social life.

For the most part, the Dalits in Hirla’s village were illiterate. Their traditional spirit worship practices had left them open to satanic attacks. Many people were sick. Alcohol abuse and family problems were common.

Hirla knew he would be the first Christian witness in his village-the first one to tell people about Jesus and His power to free them from Satan’s grip on their lives.

An Unwelcome Homecoming

Hirla came home carrying God’s promise that He could rescue these people the same way He rescued Gitanjali six years earlier. The first thing he did was erect a cross outside his home. Then he fasted for 30 days.

At the conclusion of that time, Hirla met a woman who was exhibiting the same uncontrollable behaviors he had witnessed in Gitanjali. He immediately recognized that she was being tormented by demons. He prayed for the woman for several days, and she was released. Word soon spread about Hirla and this new God named Jesus whom he talked about.

Soon there were many new believers in the village as people turned away from their traditional religion to follow Christ. This angered the village head, and he began threatening Hirla. Then this powerful man instituted a campaign to rid the village of Hirla and to force the new believers to denounce Christ.

“Don’t allow this pastor to come into your villages or into your houses,” he declared. “Don’t give him a glass of water. Don’t give him a bucket of water from the well. Don’t talk to him. If you have a wedding or a party, invite everybody else, but don’t invite this missionary. That way, we will be able to eliminate him from our customs, traditions and everything else.”

Hirla felt the impact of the social boycott almost immediately. His resolve to serve Christ was shaken, but he never stepped back.

“I am human—and when I realized that I was being threatened and pressured just because I received Jesus Christ, I would think about going back to my old life,” he remembers. “But then I would think about my wife’s healing and tell myself that whatever the cost, whatever the problem may be, I have to stand for Christ.”

Slowly, people began coming back to Hirla for prayer. As the requests increased, he built a small, tin-roofed shed next to his home to accommodate those seeking healing. And one by one, they found freedom from their spiritual chains.

A House of Praise and Worship

Today, up to 70 people crowd into Hirla and Gitanjali’s tiny, one-room house on any given Sunday. These new Christians spend up to four hours praising and worshipping the mighty God who has set them free.

Incorporating the music of their culture, the men and women take turns singing, producing a unique and beautiful worship chorus. Their communion bread is made from homegrown, stone-ground corn rotis—a type of flatbread common to this area. Hirla’s sermons are simple teachings on the basics of the Christian faith.

Of course, prayer is an important part of the service too. On one Sunday, a couple brought their 13-year-old daughter, Nidhi, to the church. She lay on a cot in front of the house writhing in intense pain. She said it felt as if someone were poking needles all over her legs. It was Nidhi’s first visit to the church, but her mother previously had the same symptoms and was healed after Hirla prayed for her. This dedicated band of believers surrounded Nidhi and prayed fervently for her. By the end of the day, her pain began to subside.

The service also includes time for believers to share their testimonies. Punita, a small woman swathed in a bright sari, stood up and began to describe her ordeal. When she developed a problem with her leg and sought out the local witch doctors for treatment, he gave her some herbs and chanted some mantras.

“When I allowed the witch doctor to do this, it seemed to get much worse,” Punita says. After several such treatments, her behavior turned erratic. At one point, her family even sent her to a mental hospital. But nothing seemed to work, so she returned home. The people in the village, worn out from all the disturbances that Punita was causing, begged her husband to go to Hirla for prayer.

Punita’s quest to find healing ended when she found Jesus. Both she and her husband gave their lives to the Lord, and they are now free from the demonic powers that nearly wrecked their lives.

“My life now is completely happy because God has made me different,” she explains.

Released from Satan’s Hand

Today, people continue to arrive at Hirla’s doorstep, some on cots carried by friends. They stay in his makeshift prayer “hospital” for a few hours, a few weeks or even longer. Hirla and Gitanjali spend hours praying for these people and tending to their physical needs. More than 70 people have found healing and freedom from satanic and physical attacks.

Hirla still remembers what it was like to be finally liberated from spiritual bondage-and how that led to his choice to serve the One who rescued him and his family.

“I decided that no matter what the cost to me, I had to do something for the lost,” Hirla says. “Just like my wife, there are so many people out there suffering through satanic attacks. I wanted to be the person to stand firm, to have faith in God and to release them from Satan’s hand. I wanted to establish a church where I could stand with them and worship God.”

The cross that Hirla built in the early days of his ministry is now covered with lengths of woven string. These amulets were originally tied around people’s wrists or necks by traditional healers who taught that they were “magic” and held supernatural healing power. Today, the strings have been abandoned. They waft in the breeze as silent testimony to the true healing power of Jesus Christ and His power over evil.

Pastor Sentenced to Three Years in Bhutan Prison

December 9, 2010

Religion is very much a part of Bhutanese life. It rules and governs how they live. Here, a man spins a prayer wheel while a woman holds prayer beads.
From their childhood, young boys are trained and taught the teaching of the Buddha for several years in the monasteries.

The Bhutan High Court sentenced Gospel for Asia-supported missionary Ugyen Tashi to three years in prison for “attempting to promote civil unrest” for showing a film about Jesus.

On May 21st, carrying a generator and a projector, Ugyen walked for two days into interior villages of Bhutan with a single purpose—to give people a chance to learn about Jesus.

But when one of the village chiefs learned of the movie’s content, he informed the chief of his district, who then called the police to arrest Ugyen.

Investigations and Questionings
The days following the arrest were a whirlwind of investigations, questionings, postponements, police statements and waiting.

While police investigated his case, Pastor Ugyen was kept in a small, dark, mosquito-filled room along with three other inmates.

On June 14, the police attempted to search Pastor Ugyen’s house, but they were unable to enter because the house was locked.

In need of more information, the police sent a team to the villages where Ugyen showed the Jesus film to reinvestigate and conclude whether people were converted through the screening.

The police summoned the village chiefs and others present at the showing and asked them a series of questions concerning what happened the night of Ugyen’s arrest. Both Christians and non-Christians presented statements for Ugyen’s case.

Patiently Waiting and Sharing
Ugyen’s case eventually made its way to the district court as he patiently waited in his jail cell and continued to share the Good News with his fellow inmates, all the while enduring harsh living conditions, which aggravated his asthma.

“Pastor Ugyen said he is not sitting idle, and though he is not able to share openly, he is making the best of every opportunity he is getting to share the Good News of Jesus,” a GFA field correspondent reported. “There are a few inmates who are interested.”

When GFA leaders came to visit the prison, Ugyen asked for a supply of New Testaments to distribute to the inmates and encouraged his visitors not to worry about him.

The Court Process
On July 22, two months after Ugyen’s arrest, he was taken to court for the first phase of his hearing—after multiple postponements and cancellations.

GFA leaders had initially met with local officials to appeal for Ugyen’s release on bail, but the officials refused their petition because they considered Ugyen’s case very serious and a possible violation of Bhutan’s constitution, which states that “No person shall be compelled to belong to another faith by means of coercion or inducement.”

Ugyen was asked to write a statement for the court, but his first statement was considered insufficient. Nine times Ugyen rewrote his statement, paying $2.50 each time.

On August 17, the court presented all of Ugyen’s statements in the presence of the officials and asked Ugyen to screen the controversial film on the life of Jesus before the court the following day. Although it was reported that the court officials wanted to watch all the films Ugyen had shown before a final verdict was pronounced, the film was never shown.

Bhutan’s High Court declared Ugyen guilty and gave him three years in prison.

Bhutan and Religion
Bhutan is one of the least evangelized nations, according to Operation World. This is due in part to the country’s deliberate isolation from other cultures. The government and its people seek to protect their ancient traditions, their way of life and especially their religion.

Bhutan’s constitution states that “Buddhism is the spiritual heritage of Bhutan, which promotes the principles and values of peace, non-violence, compassion and tolerance,” yet Christians have often been persecuted for their faith even though their constitutional right grants them freedom of religion as long as they weren’t compelled by coercion to convert to Christianity.

Please pray for Pastor Ugyen while he is in prison. Pray for his health, and that he will be able to effectively minister while he’s behind bars. Pray also for the other believers living in Bhutan. Pray for their protection, strength to endure persecution, and discernment on how to share the Good News with those around them.

Pastor Ugyen’s timeline:

  • May 21, 2010 – Ugyen is arrested by Bhutan police for showing the Jesus film. Film equipment confiscated.
  • June 4, 2010 – The police summon the village chief and people who saw the film to give detailed information. Police give Ugyen’s case to Divisional Magistrate, who forwards the case to the District Magistrate for further investigation.
  • June 9, 2010 – Case forwarded to the district court. Ugyen awaits his first hearing.
  • June 14, 2010 – Police try to investigate Ugyen’s house but can’t enter because the door is locked.
  • June 15, 2010 – Police go to villages where film was shown to reinvestigate.
  • July 5, 2010 – GFA leaders meet with officials to appeal for Ugyen’s release on bail. The petition is refused because of the gravity of the case.
  • July 22, 2010 – First phase of hearing scheduled for July 23 postponed until July 26.
  • Aug. 4, 2010 – Ugyen asked to write a statement. The statement is invalid, and he is asked to write another one.
  • Aug 6, 2010 – Ugyen has written nine statements thus far. He is questioned as to why he shared the Good News. Next court date set for Aug. 9.
  • Aug. 9, 2010 – Ugyen’s court date rescheduled for Aug. 17.
  • Aug. 17, 2010 – Pastor Ugyen taken to court and his statements are read before the court officials. Asked to appear before the court again on Aug. 18 to screen the Jesus film.
  • Aug. 19, 2010 – Pastor Ugyen asked to appear on Aug. 20 instead.
  • Aug. 23, 2010 – The district court forwards all of Pastor Ugyen’s statements and a report from the police and district court to the High Court in Thimphu for verification. Screening of Jesus film never takes place.
  • Sept. 8, 2010 – District court takes over case again. Court officials suggest Ugyen write an apology to the judge of the district court.
  • Oct. 7, 2010 – High Court sentences Ugyen to three years in prison.

Prayers

God bless you

Thanks to those who have been praying in earnest for the pitched battles I am facing on many fronts. Even now I have some relief to take a short breather before the battle begins anew.

I read Nahum as one person led me and it simply showed me how desperate this war is I have going on. I may not be much of a prayer warrior myself. I believe deep prayer is a gifting. But I sure can feel them for better or worse. And I thank you for them all. Shouldn’t we take the bad things as well as the good from the hand of God? My life is a testament to some of the darker struggles a disciple can endure.

Oh the door I am praying for to open. To turn back into a life of peace in Christ. Funny how His Kingdom works, upside down at times. I am becoming quite weak and I pray for Him to become strong.

This battle gets quite tiring.

Thanks for reading my rambling prayer. Something will change soon.

Prayer for breast cancer

I have been living with breast cancer for three years and just recently a small tumor has manifested in my brain. I cleave to our Lord as He leads me on the path of healing and restoration. The enemy is on me, trying to bring me down as I walk in the light and the challenge is one that I have never known. To rise above cancer and walk peacefully with our Lord, knowing of the healing he is bringing is something I have never known and I live these days walking in the scriptures, praying in the spirit, as He ministers healing and health to me. He is our God and will rescue me because I love Him so much. I believe He has a higher plan in all of this and my spirit aligns with His will.
Please keep me in your prayers, my brothers and sisters in Christ and let us rejoice as to what He has done for us, for He loves us so much. I pray to be a living testimony of what He has done for us on the cross.

!!!!! A GIFT FROM HEAVEN !!!!

Nearly two thousand years ago,the greatest display of Heaven was witnessed by mankind,From lowly shepherds and wise men to the Angels of Glory. They were invited to experience in the event that would forever change the course of humanity,The prophecy of old was being fulfilled. They could visibly see it unfold before their eyes.In amazement they saw the word become Flesh.
FOR UNTO US A CHILD IS BORN,UNTO US A SON IS GIVEN,AND THE GOVERNMENT SHALL BE UPON HIS SHOULDERS. Isaiah 9:6.
Oh the praises that filled the night air as virgin Mary gave birth to Christ the Lord !
Time has never diminished the effects of that birth on the world.Even now after all these years, each Christmas we get the same feeling as those present when Jesus was swaddled and laid in the manger,The essence that we are standing at the edge of Heaven,
Glory to God in the Highest and on Earth Peace good will toward men.
This is the most Beautiful Story ever told.
